My two cents: with distinct property sub-segments, I'm wary of ascribing one term to label the overall market today (buyer's market? in-flux? slow? busy?). But at least one observation is clear to me. Clients, purchasers are more engaged and increasingly encouraged by the level of choice available to them today. A few who were until recently “still only thinking” are now readying for the possibility of “value buys”.
p.s. “Affordability” is relative to the individual and so this may be the only time I’m excited to see a middle(ish) ranking given to NYC real estate. Per the NY Times, NYC is neither the best nor the worst relative to other US cities for homebuyers' pockets!
